Many times it is difficult to crochet a hat that fits perfectly. Right? That happened with me too many times. When I was pregnant with my daughter, I made her a beanie in newborn size. But it was so large that she wore it when she was 7-8 months old. 😂 I also made a beanie for my 8 year old cousin, but it came out adult size. It's really frustrating to make a beanie which doesn't fit properly. Over time, I crocheted some beanies and learned few techniques, which I would love to share with you. The most common method is to crochet a flat circle of specific size (depends on the size of beanie you are making), then stop increasing the stitches and continue in rounds till you reach the desired height. This is the most widely used method to get the correct size. But sometimes even this method didn't work for me (It was totally my mistake, I admit). Elysian vest is a front open, round neck vest. Sizes: 3, 6, 12, 18, 24 months To fit chest: 16 (17, 18, 19, 20)” Finished chest: 19 (20, 21, 22, 23)” It is crocheted with worsted weight yarn and involves basic crochet stitches as well as minimum sewing.  Available on  Ravelry .

I love the look of knitted garments, very clean, no holes. But I cannot knit. So I crocheted this beanie which looks knitted. This stitch is perfect to include  fair isle  design too. Waistcoat stitch is perfect to make your crochet work look like knitting. It is just single crochet, but instead of inserting the hook below 2 top loops of the stitch, it is inserted in between the post of the stitch ( you can see the little Vs). Decrease is also similar to regular sc, just insert your hook in Vs. This beanie works up really quickly, because the large hook is used. Make sure you keep your tension little loose and use a pointier hook. I would also recommend a yarn which is slightly thinner than regular worsted weight yarn. I had never made granny squares. So I googled and found this great tutorial on  Craftpassion .  I followed this tutorial and made some granny squares. Then I joined them together and added border to make this table runner. Abbreviations/ stitches used (US terms) Ch- chain Tr- treble crochet Dc- double crochet Sl st- slip stitch Abbreviations master list Things you will need: Worsted weight yarn in 5 colours (4 colours for granny squares and 1 colour for joining and border)   I/9 (5.5 mm) crochet hook Yarn needle Pair of scissors Make total 12 granny squares. Ice cream Tote Bag (Beginner friendly pattern) In 2017, I participated in MICQ's Guinness World Record Event, for the longest crochet scarf. That time I received sponsored yarn. I had some yarn left after completing the scarves. I was not very experienced in crochet at that time. I was actually making a table runner for my mother, but the yarn was insufficient. Easy V neck toddler vest  I made this vest last year for my daughter. (Download the  pdf  here) I have modified this pattern little bit. I have included the instructions for bottom ribbing and have increased the armhole depth slightly. Things you will need Yarn: 1. RHSS Jumbo in pale yellow (Colour A)  2.
