Easy V neck toddler vest

I made this vest last year for my daughter.

(Download the pdf here)

I have modified this pattern little bit. I have included the instructions for bottom ribbing and have increased the armhole depth slightly.

Things you will need
Yarn:
1. RHSS Jumbo in pale yellow (Colour A)
2. Caron jumbo in baby rainbow (Colour B)
You can use any worsted weight yarn, just make sure your gauge is correct.
Crochet hooks
I/9/(5.5 mm) and H/8 (5 mm)
(or size to obtain the gauge)
Yarn needle
Pair of scissors

Gauge:
With larger hook,
13 sc and 16 rows = 10 cm square

Finished vest measurements:
Chest: 22"
Length from shoulder to hem: 12"
Neck depth: 3"
Armhole depth: 4 1/2"

Notes:
  1. Ch1 does NOT count as a stitch.
  2. For neat look, first I added sc border with colour B, and then added another row of sc with colour A.

Pattern:

Ribbing:
Row 1: With smaller hook and colour A, ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch (5 sts)

Armhole trim
From RS, join yarn with sl st at underarm, ch 1, work 35 sc evenly around armhole edge; join with sl st in first sc (36 sc).

Weave in the yarn ends.

Variations:
For wider trim,
a. Add sc-blo ribbing
b. Crochet total 4 rows of sc, turning after each row.
c. Crochet 2-3 rows of alternate fpdc and bpdc.

Wanderlust ribbed beanie

It's a beginner friendly pattern that involves no increases or decreases. Beanie is worked flat in a rectangle, the the sides are sewn together and the top is closed. I have used Nako sports wool bulky yarn which is perfect for winter. It is 25% wool and 75% acrylic yarn, which provides sufficient warmth. In addition to that, wool provides strech and elasticity to the beanie. I would totally recommend wool-acrylic blend or 100% wool yarn for this project, but you can also use acrylic yarn. (Only adult sizes are available for free here on my blog. Paid pdf is available on Ravelry which includes all the sizes from preemie to adult large.) Check out the beanies made by my amazing testers. This cute little boy is a perfect model for this beanie.
