Easy V neck toddler vest

I have modified this pattern little bit. I have included the instructions for bottom ribbing and have increased the armhole depth slightly.
Things you will need
Yarn:
1. RHSS Jumbo in pale yellow (Colour A)
2. Caron jumbo in baby rainbow (Colour B)
2. Caron jumbo in baby rainbow (Colour B)
You can use any worsted weight yarn, just make sure your gauge is correct.
Crochet hooks
I/9/(5.5 mm) and H/8 (5 mm)
(or size to obtain the gauge)
Yarn needle
Pair of scissors
Gauge:
With larger hook,
13 sc and 16 rows = 10 cm square
Finished vest measurements:
Chest: 22"
Length from shoulder to hem: 12"
Neck depth: 3"
Armhole depth: 4 1/2"
Notes:
- Ch1 does NOT count as a stitch.
- For neat look, first I added sc border with colour B, and then added another row of sc with colour A.
Pattern:
Back pannel
Ribbing:
Row 1: With smaller hook and colour A, ch 6, sc in 2nd ch from hook. 1 sc in each ch (5 sts)
Row 2-35: Ch 1, turn. 1 sc-blo in each st to end of row. Fasten off. Join colour B with sl st.
Turn the ribbing 90 degrees and begin working across the long edge of the ribbing.
Row 1: (RS). With larger hook, ch 1, work one stitch in each row end across the length of the ribbing. (35 sc)
Row 2-26: ch 1, turn. Sc in each st (35 sts)
Shape armholes:
Row 1: ch 1, turn, sc2tog in 1st 2 sts, sc in next each st to last 2 sts, sc2tog (33 sts)
Row 2: repeat row 1 (31 sts)
Row 3-14: ch1, turn. Sc in each st (31 sts)
Shape shoulders:
Right shoulder:
Row 1: ch 1, turn. Sc in next 6 sts, sc2tog in next 2 sts. Leave remaining sts unworked. (7 sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn. Sc in each st. (7 sts)
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing shoulder.
Left shoulder:
Right side facing you, join yarn with sl st, in 8th st from the left.
Row 1: ch 1, sc2tog in same and next st, sc in next 6 sts. (7 sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn. Sc in each st. (7 sts).
Fasten off leaving a long tail for sewing shoulder.
Front pannel:
Work as for back to the 8th row of armhole shaping.
Neck shaping:
Now we will shape the neck. We will decrease 1 sc.
Shape left neck:
Row 1: ch 1, turn. Sc in next 13 sts, sc2tog in next 2 sts (neck edge), leave remaining sts unworked. (14 sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn. Sc2tog, sc in each st across. (13 sts)
Row 3: ch 1, turn. Sc in next st and in each st to last 2 sts, sc2tog. (12 sts)
Repeat last 2 rows 2 more times. (8 sts)
Repeat row 2. (7 sts)
Fasten off.
Shape right neck:
RS facing, sk 1 unworked st following row 1 of the right side of v neck, join yarn with sl st in next unworked st.
Row 1: ch 1, sc2tog, sc in each st across. (14 sts)
Row 2: ch 1, turn. Sc in each st to last 2 sts, sc2tog. (13 sts)
Repeat last 2 rows 3 more times.
Fasten off.
Finishing:
Sew shoulder and side seams.
Adding trims:
For the trims, make sure that the sc are evenly spaced.
V neck trim
From RS, join colour A with sl st in right shoulder seam, ch 1, work 24 sc across back neck edge, 12 sc along front neck edge to center, work 1 sc at center (in the unworked st), work 12 sc along right front neck edge, join with sl st in first sc (49 sts).
Armhole trim
From RS, join yarn with sl st at underarm, ch 1, work 35 sc evenly around armhole edge; join with sl st in first sc (36 sc).
Weave in the yarn ends.
Variations:
For wider trim,
a. Add sc-blo ribbing
b. Crochet total 4 rows of sc, turning after each row.
c. Crochet 2-3 rows of alternate fpdc and bpdc.
