CHILD sizes: sweet treats cupacake/ sundae beanie

First let me tell you, the idea was not originally mine. I was looking for a cupcake beanie pattern for my 5 year old daughter and I found this beautiful pattern  by Twinkie Chan. I just loved the diagonal swirls and really thought that it was a brilliant idea. But the pattern is for adult size. Also it involves crocheting the top and the brim separately and then sewing them together, which I personally don't prefer. So I made this hat my way to avoid sewing and adjusting the stitch count for my 5 year old. I also used a pom-pom for cherry instead of amigurumi sphere. Much easier, right? But the idea of diagonal swirls is definitely not mine.I scaled this pattern to different sizes like baby, child and adult. For the colour options, sky is the limit. You can use 2 colours, alternating every other row to get sundae effect, or can use self striping rainbow yarn. Beanie can also be made in strawberry or watermelon colours. Just let your imagination fly. Check out the beanies made by t

My cousin had brought me a skein of this beautiful yarn (Red heart boutique unforgettable shade 3945 parrot) from the US. I have been saving this for a perfect pattern. And I really think that this pattern is perfect for this perfect yarn. I am in love (even though it's little difficult to work with and much more difficult to frog 😂). Check out the pictures sent by the testers. Also, I would like to thank all my testers for helping me out and improving the pattern. 😊 They all were very helpful.
